DFM - DFA

The principles of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) form the basic structure of the Worimex product development discipline.

DFM - DFA

Product design is never evaluated independently of manufacturing processes. Process capability, mold behavior and assembly ergonomics are evaluated simultaneously.

In-house manufacturability analysis enables part geometries to be optimized in terms of mold exit angles, wall thickness distribution, cooling balance and deformation risks.

Tolerance chain analysis evaluates possible assembly variations. By integrating the assembly line perspective into the design phase, part count optimization and defect prevention design solutions are created.

INSIGHT

The DFM-DFA approach combines cost optimization with quality stability. Engineering decisions made during the design phase significantly reduce the risks of variability during mass production.
